The Littlehampton and District Angling Club

Welcome to the LDAC website

The Littlehampton and District Angling Club was originally formed in the 1930's. The club took over their current premises next to Littlehampton Life Boat Station (adjacent to the Look and Sea Centre) in August 2001.

The club is dedicated to promoting the art of Angling. To this end they hold regular sea fishing competitions (see fixture list). We have fishermen interested in all aspect of the sport amongst our members, with course fishing and fly fishing well represented. Visiting fishermen (and of course women) from other clubs are always welcome.

Being resident in a seaside town gives plenty of opportunity to fish for sport and for the table. Locally caught fish include Cod, Pollock, Whiting, Tope, Ling, Smooth-hound, Rays, Bass, Bream and Conger.

The club house is open to all members, their guests and members of other fishing clubs. In the bar we have a pool table and darts board. Our pool and cribbage teams play in the local leagues. We have a full social program including various entertainers, karaoke, quiz nights and bingo. We also have raffles for fishing rods/reels etc. We pride ourselves on being a family club and children are welcome.

The club is committee run with elections held annually. We are affiliated to the NFSA. If you feel that you would like to join us you are welcome to come into the bar during opening hours and pick up a membership application.
