A number of club members managed to take a day of work and hit some wrecks on the charter boat Valkyrie, heading out of Langstone Harbour at 7am the sea was flat and we were hoping for some big cod.

After about one and half hours seam and 40miles we got to the first wrecks were we picked up a number of Pollock, including myself with my first ever double,

a couple of hours later we then we pushed on out another 10 miles and hoped for the Cod, there were plenty of Pollock to start with including a few good doubles, then at the tide dropped Jon (Zippy) Marshall pulled in a 15lb Cod, this was the start of a manic 30min, cod were coming aboard that ranged form 7lb to the monster 30lb er!!.

John Faull and myself were most upset that we coudn't catch one, and even Glen got in on the piss taking.. oh well that's fishing, Jon Marshall finished the day of with a nice 20lb er and then it was time to seam the two hours home,

back at 7pm cant say we didn't have a full days fishing.
